About OneDrop FM – Built on One Principle

Metecan Kalkan spent years working inside Melbourne’s commercial cleaning industry before founding OneDrop FM – and what he saw frustrated him.
Most cleaning companies operated the same way. They won a contract, sent whoever was available, and hoped the client would not notice when the standard dropped. Subcontractors with no accountability to the client. Office managers chasing cleaners who did not show. Business owners paying invoices that had grown without explanation. Facility managers signing compliance paperwork with nothing documented behind it.
The problem was not that people could not clean. The problem was accountability. Nobody owned the result. The subcontractor answered to a labour hire agreement, not to the client. The agency had already moved on to the next contract. And the client was left managing a cleaning company on top of everything else they already had to manage.

Metecan founded OneDrop FM to fix that specific problem – not with better marketing, with a different operating model. Direct employment only. Every person who enters a client’s premises is employed by OneDrop FM, trained by OneDrop FM, and accountable to OneDrop FM. A written scope of work before every job. A completion record after every visit. A named account manager who checks in before the client has to complain.

FM stands for Facility Management – the discipline of running a building or environment to a consistent, documented standard.
